Nothing is an exploration of sound as home, of movement as identity, and of impermanence as the only constant. Having relocated from Moscow to London, my own experience of displacement, adaptation, and searching for belonging is woven into this project—both figuratively and literally. Inspired by nomadic cultures, where woven carpets serve as both shelter and memory, Nothing translates processed audio waves from my compositions into handwoven tapestries.

Each piece in the album Nothing carries a different emotional landscape—loss, adaptation, rootlessness, transformation. These compositions are visualized as spectrograms, capturing the music’s unique structure and sonic textures, then woven into fabric. Just as nomads carry their homes on their backs, these tapestries carry the echoes of sound, preserving what would otherwise be lost.

For centuries, nomadic people have woven their histories into textiles, embedding movement, migration, and memory into fabric. Nothing mirrors this act—turning sound, something inherently transient, into a lasting artifact. Through this project, I ask: Can music be a home? Can something that constantly moves still leave an imprint? Can we carry sound with us, like a woven map of where we’ve been?

By turning music into a tactile, visual, and spatial experience, Nothing creates a space where sound is not just heard—it is woven, preserved, and lived with. It is both an echo of the past and a thread into the future, a reminder that even in movement, we are never without a home.
